Director of Tax Planning and Indirect Taxes
Under the direction of the Vice President of Tax, the Director of Tax Planning & Indirect Taxes is responsible for and focuses on the following areas: Developing and implementing tax planning ideas, conducting tax due diligence for potential acquisitions and developing tax efficient acquisition and disposition strategies. Directing activities related to state & local tax matters, including, state income taxes, sales taxes, property taxes and unclaimed property. Overseeing federal and state tax audits in all tax areas, completing projects associated with international operations, developing tax memoranda supporting aspects of the tax provision.
Qualifications:
* Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the areas of corporate income tax research, federal and state corporate income tax impact calculations/modeling, compiling/drafting technical tax memoranda, and addressing tax controversies, in either a large services firm environment, large corporate environment, or both.
- Familiarity with MS Office software, including strong Excel skills.
- Ability to understand tax software workflow and learn applicable software applications used in the organization
- Organization skills, working collaboratively within a team and across departments

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field- CPA Strongly Preferred.
- 10+ Years in Tax Planning and Indirect Taxes/State Taxes
- Must have strong Microsoft Word Skills
- Must be proficient with technical tax research
