Brunswick – Planning & Zoning/Public Works Technical Customer Support Specialist
The City of Brunswick is seeking a full time Technical Customer Support Specialist. This administrative position provides key support to multiple staff members of the Planning & Zoning, Public Works, and Engineering Office. Responsibilities include office coordination in addition to performing fiscal-related duties. Supervision is received from the Planning and Zoning Administrator.
Duties include a wide variety of general office support, processing zoning certificates, setting up and maintaining various computer filing systems, attending meetings on behalf of department, etc.
Requirements include strong computer skills in word processing and spreadsheet applications; strong math, record keeping, and clerical skills; strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks; effective written and spoken communication skills; a valid driver’s license; etc.
Preference may be given for education related to planning, advanced computer skills, knowledge of codes and ordinances, knowledge of site planning and land use, GIS experience, or the ability to read and interpret maps and plans.
