Cobham AES has an opening available for an Industrial Security Specialist.
Primary duties will include working in the Classified and Sensitive Material in accordance with the requirements set forth in company policy, NISPOM, NISPOM supplements, Executive Orders, ITAR and EAR. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: processing DD254s, ensuring data accuracy/integrity in SIMS, managing metrics, managing transmittals for outgoing classified material, maintaining control and accountability of classified documents/media, inspecting packages for tamper, receipt and dispatch of classified material via approved methods to include packing and shipping, and processing Global Security Services Request System (GSSRS) requests. Additional duties will include processing classified visit requests and Visitor Registration System (VRS) requests.Required Skills Active Secret Clearance Associate’s Degree in Business, Technical Discipline or related field of study Data management experience in a Industrial Security environment Minimum 1 year of experience in a industrial security related field with Information Systems experience Knowledge of classified document control processes to include: control and accountability of classified material, SIMS, Industrial Security Facilities Database. Working knowledge of the NISPOM and NISPOM supplements. Good interpersonal skills; able to interface with customers and employees at all levels. Be effective at organizing and prioritizing customer/management requests within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Excellent writing, speaking, analytical, organizational, and customer service skills. Must be a self-starter and capable of working with a limited level of supervision and guidance. Be committed to continuous learning and professional development Organizational skills to include: attention to detail, time management and ability to multitask. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).Desired Skills Basic understanding of the following: Classified Visitor Control, Visitor Registration System, NATO requirements for documents and media. Knowledge of destruction requirements for classified material. Knowledge of classification marking requirements and caveats such as NATO, FGI, RD, CNWDI, etc. Ability to develop, administer and execute office/organizational directives and procedures. Ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance if needed Experience with reviewing DD 254s Ability to work individually or as a team member with minimal supervision. Experience with policies and implementation of Risk Management Framework (RMF): e.g. DAAPM, and/or NIST 800 series special publications. Demonstrated knowledge with security relevant tools, systems, and applications in support of RMF to include: STIGs, SCAP.Base of Knowledge Skills
: The candidate must have complete knowledge of verification, validation, certification and qualification processes and procedures, including knowledge of current governing regulations and compliance requirements. Proficient in the use of computer hardware and software applications; extensive knowledge of processes and tools needed to maintain, archive, and retrieve digital files; as it relates to Information Systems security, ability to read and understand DD-254s.Contribute to the Authorization and Assessment (A&A) process under the Risk Managed Framework (RMF) for new and existing information systems, to include facilitating, Risk Acceptance Letters (RAL) and Continuous Monitoring (CONMON). Provide support to all Industrial Security functions required by the government contract (i.e. write/submit Industrial Security Plans, conduct briefings, education/training, self-inspections, marking, accountability, etc.) Assess test/analysis data to document state of compliance with security requirements. Conduct risk assessments and investigations, execute appropriate risk mitigations, and participate in incident response activities.
