Description Small, collegial, Baltimore County, Maryland based plaintiffs civil litigation law firm is seeking an additional full-time paralegal to work closely with attorneys on serious personal injury, medical malpractice, class action and other interesting litigation.
All candidates must be hardworking, organized, dependable, and able to work independently.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Screening of incoming calls for potential cases;
Ordering, organizing and summarizing medical records, medical bills and other documents;
Scheduling and calendaring events and deadlines;
Drafting pleadings, discovery requests and discovery responses;
Assisting with depositions, hearings and trials;
Drafting and sending correspondence to clients, courts, counsel, witnesses, and others;
Investigating individuals, companies, and properties;
Performing docket checks, and;
Credentials: Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, Certificate in Paralegal Studies, or three (3) years of experience working as a paralegal under the supervision of an attorney;
Strong attention to detail;
Ability to consistently meet deadlines;
Ability to handle large volume of workload;
Excellent organizational and follow-through skills;
Excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills;
Excellent computer skills;
Creativity is a plus;
Medical knowledge is a plus;
Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Compensation is commensurate with experience. Requirements - Medical malpractice experience desired
