Pennsylvania Adult and Teen Challenge (Teen Challenge Training Center) has multiple openings for positions in our newly opened licensed drug and alcohol detox program
Pennsylvania Adult and Teen Challenge is a Christian ministry that offers three levels of care for adult males who are addicted to drugs and alcohol. The foundation of our organization rests on our successful long term Christian discipleship rehabilitation program. We have recently opened both a state licensed short term treatment program, and a new state licensed non hospital detox program.
We are seeking qualified candidates for:
Detox LPN Nurse positions
Certified Med Tech positions
Patient care supervision working primarily in a drug detoxification capacity.
Assist in assessment and medical triage of patients.
Ongoing care of patients while in detox program.
Assist in performing/monitoring patient medication disbursement.
Assistance with client intake, discharge, and aftercare planning.
Monitoring and recording client progress and incidents in the program.
Demonstrate respect towards patients, at the same time being firm and directive; supporting them with their personal goals and development.
Passing medications and giving treatments according to physician orders and in accordance with facility policy.
May be required to assist client with personal hygiene tasks, and other activities of daily living.
Work on a multidisciplinary team to discuss, assess and resolve patient problems, yet able to work independently.
LPN's must assess medical and psychological problems and report significant findings to the physician and appropriate counselor. In addition, must complete initial medical and nutritional assessment, and chemical dependency and suicide history along with charting patient care.
All candidates must be licensed or certified in their prospective field (LPN/CMT/CNA)
Must be willing to work nights and weekends
Must lead a sober lifestyle in accordance with organizational policy
Must have at least one year of experience in treating patients with drug and/or alcohol addiction
